Key features of the course:

Our students are encouraged to develop their individual design identity through the exploration of traditional media and new technologies. Studio work encourages experimentation through materials manipulation, mixed media drawing and designing, colour working, photography and CAD.

Our new Red Shed studios and workshops are well equipped with a specialist dye lab, dubied knitting area, stitch area, dedicated textiles and surface design computer facilities, a printmaking studio and screen printing workshops.

Students are taught by a team of design professionals who are widely recognised nationally and internationally. The proximity of London allows us to attract visiting lecturers and speakers from the across the arts and design industry. This ensures a vibrant and contemporary approach to the subject. We regularly participate in international design exhibitions and visit trade shows in London, Paris, Florence and New York.
